Sylvanian Families are, and have always been, very close to me. As a kid I loved to play pretend with little toys, I loved dressing up little characters, I loved dollhouses... But I hated dolls. The human ones. Barbies or baby dolls or anything of the like. There was a void that little plastic horses, wolves, beavers and bears couldn't fill: dressing up dolls in cute clothes, giving them cups of tea, or sitting them around living rooms or dining tables... That's where Sylvanian Families came in play.
