3DS
Consoles: I've only got one 3DS so far, and it's a New Nintendo 3DS XL I got in 2015-ish for Christmas. I hacked it in 2023.
It's hard to think that this console has been with me for 10 years now! It's been through a lot. The R button doesn't work cuz I dropped it on the floor at the airport while waiting in line, and it's got a few dead pixels in the bottom left corner of the top screen cuz I dropped it while it was in my jacket pocket and I was leaning over to try on some shoes.
I mainly played Animal Crossing (Happy Home Designer and New Leaf) and Tomodachi Life on this guy. Then in around 2017 or 2018 I got Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for Christmas, so those got added into my cycle too.
I don't think I can really summarise how much this console means to me. Just the fact that I haven't given it away is enough, I guess? I got a Nintendo Switch over the Summer in 2019 (I think) but I still used my 3DS more.
Then, only in 2023 did I discover that you could hack it. And that it was easy to do so! I got a bunch of games on it, something which I'll get into later. That was around when the Eshop closed (which I was very upset by).
Games: (Physical) Pokemon Ultra Sun, Pokemon Y, Super Mario 3D Land. I used to have a ton more like some Petz games, Nintendogs, a Peanuts game, and some others, but I sold them. I also used to have Ultra Moon but I genuinely have no clue what happened to it. I probably lost it.
(Digital) Here I've got way more. If it were up to me, they'd all be physical, but my dad thinks buying them digitally is more practical. In bold are the games I had before hacking. Consoles: Similarly, I've only got one DS. It's a white DS Lite I got in 2024 off CEX.
This DS was quite a controversial purchase among my family, unfortunately for me. My mom and my brother kept telling me it was a waste of money and that it's probably gonna break cuz it's 'old', which I strongly disagreed with anytime they brought it up... I guess they're kinda right, it is a bit dumb to buy a DS when I already have a much more modern and objectively better console, my 3DS, but come on. I wanna play my DS games with a DS! Not a 3DS!!! I'm a nerd, let me be a nerd...
Games: All the games I got for my DS are from CEX. God bless CEX. I've got Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon White, Rhythm Paradise, and the two Club Penguin DS games. I plan on getting more, though, cuz, like, the more the merrier and whatnot.
